Creativity on Center Stage
In this Praxis Lab, students explored the value of creativity across disciplines and its central role in education, communities, and personal growth. Inspired by Albert Einstein's belief in the power of creative thinking, the course delved into the thinking habits of creative individuals—such as risk-taking, reasoning without clear answers, and honoring emotions.
Students examined why these creative habits are often undervalued by traditional educational systems and worked on projects aimed at reintroducing creativity to classrooms and communities. Through presentations by arts and education experts and hands-on exercises like art, writing, and performances, students explored ways to foster creativity and collaboration in a variety of contexts. The second half of the course focused on student-led projects, ranging from creative performances to new approaches in pedagogy and arts education.
