Most museums are experiences of Somebodies with a capital S— certainly their gifts but also the politics that got them there. The MON erases the politics and displays the talent. A plushie-maker. A janitor by day and an easel weasel by night. The neighbor who plays the guitar like a maniac. The photographer who never shows her photos. The great kindergarten teacher whose classes are her art. Why not you?
On April 24 and 25th, you are invited to connect with a capital C to the hidden creativity in your community. Visit the Somebodies another day. At the SLC Photo Collective on Thursday and Friday, from 6pm to the wee hours, through art, installation, video, and sound, experience the vitality of absolutely Nobody.
Tons of talented, creative people will be showcasing their work at the MoN, including:
SEASON OF THE WITCH
GREEN RIVER BLUES
PORRIDGE FOR GOLDILOCKS
U OF U SCIENTIFIC COMPUTER IMAGING INSTITUTE
(and many, many more)
