Honors College

Madison Abele is a Student Program Manager in the Honors College. She manages the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Distinguished Scholarship, the Honors Milestone Advising Program, the second year learning community, and the transfer student process. Madison works with and advises all Honors students, but is specifically the Honors College liaison to the College of Social Behavioral Science and the College of Health. Madison was born and raised here in Salt Lake. She received both her honors bachelor's degree in Social Work and her master's degree in Social Work here at the University of Utah. In her spare time, Madison enjoys reading, exploring museums, and spending time with her husband, Garrett, and their dog, Dave.

Karleton returned to the University of Utah and joined the Honors College in the Summer of 2019. After completing his undergraduate degree in English at Weber State University, he worked as an academic advisor here at the U in the Department of History. During this time, he also completed a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Ohio State University with plans to finish Spring 2022. Karleton enjoys spending time with family and works with all honors students but is the Honors College liaison to the Academic Advising Center, College of Humanities, College of Science, and the College of Education.

Dominic Pecoraro is the Associate Director of Special Programs in the Honors College aiding in the oversight of admissions, recruitment, and student experience. He also is the Honors College’s liaison to Housing and Residential Education. Dominic advises all Honors students, but serves as the liaison for Transform, Business, Medicine, and Mines and Earth Sciences. Originally from the St. Louis, Missouri, area, Dominic earned an HBS in Intercultural Communication and Diversity and an MA in Communication from Missouri State University. In the field of interpersonal communication, he studies the intersection of communication, identity, and difference and teaches courses in Communication as an Associate Instructor. Previous Honors courses Dominic has taught include HONOR 2211 (Writing with Honors) and HONOR 3214 (Communication, Identity, and Difference). Dominic enjoys spending his free time with his partner, Dylan, and their Siberian Husky, Madee.
